What we collect

Support email: your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write to us, used to reply to you.

Purchases, once sales open: order and licence records, including any serial number issued to you. Paddle, our Merchant of Record, collects your payment details and billing information. We do not receive or store your card details.

Website visits: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Using the software: activating or running the plugins sends nothing to BUTZ AUDIO.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no tracking cookies and uses no third-party analytics. If that changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested where required.

Why we use your data

We process order and licence data to fulfil our contract with you. We process support messages because we have a legitimate interest in helping you, or to fulfil that contract. We keep accounting records because the law requires it. We process technical data because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure website.

How long we keep it

Support emails are kept for as long as they are needed to help you, and no longer than 3 years after the conversation ends. Licence records are kept for as long as the licence is in use, so that we can help you with it. Accounting records are kept for as long as Norwegian accounting law requires, normally 5 years.

Who we share data with

Cloudflare hosts this website and forwards email sent to our support address. Paddle processes orders and payments as Merchant of Record. Our email provider stores our support correspondence. These companies may process data outside the EEA, under safeguards such as the EU's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Email support@butzaudio.com to use these rights. You may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
